Puppucinnos, or "pup cups," are all the rage for dogs. For one Silkie chicken named Momo, a sweet treat is just what the day calls for. Who says dogs have all the fun?
In the July 16, 2024 TikTok video posted by @mwill111 , Momo enjoys her very first "cluck cup" and it's pure bliss. Watch below!
In the video captioned, "Needless to say MoMo is a fan of cluck cups," the spoiled Silkie is taken for a fun drive to Starbucks for a cool, little treat— her first "pup cups," but for chickens! At first, the sweet girl isn't sure what's going on, but one taste of the whipped cream delights and she can't wait to dive in for more.
Not only did MoMo make the day of the Starbucks employees serving the snack, her many followers were also delighted to see this video!
"This might be the best thing I’ve ever seen," one person wrote. "Seeing this first thing this morning absolutely made my day, thanks," another said. "I’m glad I’m not the only one who takes her chickens on car rides," another added.
It may have been MoMo's first time getting the "cluck cup," but we're sure it won't be her last!

Is Dairy Safe For Chickens?
Dr. Yvette Johnson-Walker, a veterinary epidemiologist and poultry expert at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, says caring for backyard chickens like Silkies takes a little planning. Baby chicks require different food than adults. Babies can eat starter feed, dried mealworms, oats, carrot, eggs and crushed maize. They can also indulge in shell grit.
Adults, however, should primarily eat chicken feed with added treats every now and then, including: "Scratch grains, such as oats and barley, as well as leafy greens and veggies." These shouldn't amount to more than 10 percent of their diet and, "starches, including bread and crackers, should be avoided altogether."
Dr. Johnson-Walker also noted that a balanced diet is important for preventing disease that could lead to "signs of stress, like feather picking."
Silkie chickens follow the same general rules. Other foods to avoid feeding chickens include: large quantities of citrus fruits, green potatoes or skins, apple seeds, uncooked beans, green tomatoes, coffee grounds, raw eggs, avocado pits and parts, and rhubarb leaves.
As for whipped cream treats like the "cluck cup," dairy should also be given in moderation or an occasional snack. Look like MoMo can still have her Starbies every now and then with Mom!
