    ‘House Of The Dragon’ & ‘The Boys’ Help Lead Another Big Week On Nielsen Streaming Charts

    June was a big month for streaming, led in equal part by original and acquired programming.

    Bridgerton led another week on the Nielsen streaming charts from June 17-23, although the series was down about a billion minutes viewed versus the week prior , racking up 2.5 billion. As expected, a majority of that viewing came from the last four episodes of Season 3, which debuted June 13.

    It was one of five titles to surpass 1 billion minutes viewed during this interval, three of which were originals — all from different platforms. In fact, Nielsen also reported that the top four slots were taken by titles with less than 30 episodes, which is a testament to the strength of their audiences.

    Your Honor came in second, having jockeyed with Bridgerton over the last few weeks for the top spot. The Showtime series has seemingly found a new lease on life after landing on Netflix, managing 1.9B minutes viewed, up about a million from the week prior.

    Nielsen says that, while viewing has begun to equalize across all episodes of Your Honor , it is still concentrated in Episodes 1 to 4, indicating new viewers are still finding the series. Generally, when a series’ viewership begins to lean heavily toward the latter episodes, it is an indication that the series has found a bulk of its audience. That will likely eventually happen with Your Honor , but what this tells us is that the series has the legs to remain in the Nielsen Top 10 for quite a while.

    The Boys and House of the Dragon rounded out the top four. The former held onto its third place spot for the second consecutive week with 1.3B minutes viewed, which marked a slight increase from the week prior.

    Meanwhile, House of the Dragon skyrocketed up the list after not having made it onto the overall Top 10 in its debut week. The series racked up 1.2B minutes viewed, compared to 741M the week before. However, last week, the majority of viewing was concentrated on old episodes, because Season 2 debuted in the final hours of the interval.

    That means that, this week, although another episode debuted, this viewing heavily leans toward the premiere. This trend will continue for the length of the season, as it usually does with HBO’s Sunday shows.
