New Details Emerge Surrounding Richard Simmons Death
2024-07-20
This is not the end for iconic fitness guru Richard Simmons, who passed away just a day after his 76th birthday. While police suspect no foul play in his death, his cause of death is still unknown, and they're waiting on toxicology results and the coroner to reveal these details. The police won't close his case until his cause of death is found, and everyone is eager to come up with an answer so Simmons can finally rest in peace.
Richard Simmons' Last Days
Many were wondering about Richard Simmons' whereabouts and well-being over the past decade after Simmons disappeared from the public eye following four decades of being in the spotlight. Simmons' brother, Lenny, revealed that his brother called him the day before his death, having concerns about being food poisoned. However, Simmons dismissed it and didn't seek any professional help, having said that he felt better and was going to bed a little early.
In addition, his live-in housekeeper, Teresa Reveles, caught Richard Simmons after falling in his bathroom hours prior to his death. She urged him to seek medical assistance, but the fitness guru refused, as he just wanted to stay home and enjoy his 76th birthday.
He had described feeling dizzy before the fall, but he rejected seeing a doctor, telling Teresa that maybe he'd go on Saturday after his birthday. So with that, she helped him back to bed, and that was the end of it. Then, at around 10 am, Teresa found Simmons unresponsive on the floor next to his bed.
Whether the bathroom incident is directly related to his death or not is unknown, as there were no external signs of bumps, bruises, or bleeding after the fall. What is certain is that upon police arrival, he was declared dead at the scene.
Additionally, the autopsy is complete, everyone is just waiting on the toxicology report and the police will not close the case until the medical examiner establishes a formal cause of death, which could take up to several weeks as lab tests are conducted.
Lenny Simmons Opens Up About Receiving the News
Lenny revealed that the day before his brother's death, he called him to wish him a happy 76th birthday. This made Teresa's call to him about Richard Simmons' death even more astounding because he had just talked to him the day before, and he was well... what had changed in such a short time that he lost his brother so suddenly? He opened up about the denial he was in, and it wasn't until Teresa broke the news that the weight of what had occurred sank in.
He didn't think much of what his brother said about having food poisoning because, as Lenny said, "We all have our bad days sometimes," and life goes on. He was in shock that he lost his brother, and he called his wife as soon as he received the news. In an interview with ET, he spoke about this tragic moment in his life and also spoke fondly of Richard Simmons, saying that he considered him a role model and that everybody liked and loved him.
Richard Simmons was the kind of person with flamboyant and positive energy that was just infectious. He never failed to express his gratitude or show his appreciation, whether to his fans or for living in general. He always encouraged himself and people to become better versions of themselves inside and out. The world lost a rarity that will be hard to restore.
I want to know why he had so many fractures and bruises and cuts all over his body, it sounds to me like he was abused

I believe Richard had a premonition that he was leaving us. He seemed to be tying up loose ends and preparing to go. He was just too good for this world. God took him home.❤️💖❤️🩹💔💛🩷
