Adam Huss Reaches Out to His GH Fans

It’s been a while since Nikolas has been on General Hospita l but the character’s most recent portrayer, Adam Huss , is still grateful for all the continued support from fans who want to see him back as the Cassadine (and preferably out of prison!). While he couldn’t reveal if another return to the soap was in the cards for the near future, the actor still expressed his gratitude on social media.

“Don’t think I don’t see all your GH love for Nikolas,” Huss wrote on Twitter/X. “I see you and I appreciate you all! As you know, I love playing Nikolas Mikael Stavrosavich Cassadine so wherever the journey takes me, your love always resonates with me. Wanted to take a moment to express that! Thank you.”

Just a couple of days later, Huss popped back online to reply to the response to his post. “I am in awe of all the love this post got,” he marveled. “Wow. Thank you for the love and acceptance of me as Nikolas, GH fans. I know it’s not easy to accept a recast. I won’t ever take this embrace for granted! Not even for a second!” He then signed off with a virtual kiss to his fans.

The character of Nikolas Cassadine first appeared back in 1996 and was played by Tyler Christopher. The role was recast in 1999 with Colton Scott, but Christopher returned in 2003. Chris Beetem took over briefly in 2005 when Christopher underwent surgery and Nik Stabile stepped into the role in 2016 to help usher the character off the canvas. When Nikolas returned in 2019, the role was again recast, this time with Marcus Coloma. Huss filled in for Coloma a few times when the actor wasn’t available, and then took over the role in 2023 when Nikolas was presumably killed.

It was soon revealed that Nikolas was still alive, but Huss’ appearances became much less frequent after Nik turned himself in to the authorities for Esme’s kidnapping and wound up behind bars. The last time Huss appeared on GH was the April 29, 2024, episode when Ava paid her ex-husband a visit in Pentonville.

Still, Huss has been keeping busy, appearing in movies like Home, Not Alone (with fellow GH alum Andrea Bogart (ex-Abby)), Three Dates to Forever , and Couples Retreat Murder . Fans can also help decide his character’s fate in the interactive movie Pregnant By My Ex’s Dad ! And who knows, maybe one day Nikolas will pop up again… perhaps as a free man!
