    Michelle Brooks Enjoying Her Role as Audubon County Fair Queen

    (Audubon) It’s been quite a week for Michelle Brooks. On Monday, the senior third baseman, who played for the Wheelers state qualifying Softball team, was crowned the 2024 Audubon County Fair Queen on Wednesday.

    Michelle Brooks added responsibilities, including handing out awards at the livestock shows, the Figure 8 races, the rodeo, and representing Audubon County in the Iowa State Fair Queen Contest.

    Brooks gets the most enjoyment out of working with the youth.

    The Audubon County Fair continues today.

    The 4-H/FFA Swine Show started at 8:00 a.m. At Noon is the Clover Kids Goat Show, Clover Kids Sheep Show, 4-H/FFA Goat Show, PeeWee Goat Show, and 4-H/FFA Sheep Show. 4-H Under the Tent is at 2:00 p.m. The Hay Throwing Contest begins at 3:00 p.m., followed by Adult tricycles and bounce animals. There are inflatable attractions from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Balloon Animal Creations from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Richard Renner- The Vodvill Klown at 4:00 p.m., Pork Feed at 5:00 p.m., and Figure Eight Races at 7:30 p.m.

    The Audubon County Fair runs through Sunday.
