Suede have announced the 30th anniversary reissue of their second album, Dog Man Star, to be released on October 4 via Demon Music. The newly mastered release will include reimagined artwork and bonus tracks. In celebration of the reissue, Suede have released “The Killing of a Flash Boy,” a Dog Man Star tour film shot in 1994. Along the way both members have been staying busy. Tom is has been the touring drummer for Alex G since 2016 while Mike has been recording and producing for his solo project Shyin.

South Wales songwriter/wordsmith Jack Jones released a new single “Who Let The Bass Pump Through The Floor” through the Strap Originals label last Friday (12th July). The second track to be lifted from Jack’s much anticipated self-titled debut solo album which comes out on Friday September 20th. “Who Let The Bass Pump Through The Floor” is a dancefloor monster of which Jack himself says: “When we first started drinking as young kids, we couldn’t get into pubs or anything, so we used to always have house parties… It was just an excuse to find someone’s flat and destroy it. The song’s the idea of people arriving from the street, and coming in, each with their own back-story. It’s a bit of a banger!”

ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell will release a new solo single, "Vilified", on Thursday, July 25 at 9 p.m. PDT / midnight EDT. Cantrell's latest solo album, "Brighten", came out in October 2021. The LP was Jerry's first project without ALICE IN CHAINS in 19 years. "Brighten" was co-produced by Jerry with film composer Tyler Bates and Cantrell's longtime engineer Paul Figueroa. They welcomed a dynamic cast of supporting players, including drummers Gil Sharone and Abe Laboriel, Jr. (Paul McCartney),pedal steel master Michael Rozon, Vincent Jones on piano, Wurlitzer, and organ. Other rock legends added to the fun of this LP, including Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES) on select bass tracks, Greg Puciato (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN) handling all of the background vocals and Joe Barresi (TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE) overseeing the mixing of "Brighten". Together, they recorded eight originals and the LP closes with an approved-by-Elton John cover of his classic "Goodbye" as the finale.
