Silver Alert canceled for Raleigh County woman

UPDATE (3:16 p.m. on Friday, July 19): The Silver Alert for Joyce Holland has been canceled, according to Metro 911.

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a Raleigh County woman.

According to Raleigh County and Kanawha County 911 dispatchers, Joyce Louise Holland, 86, was reported missing Friday afternoon shortly after she was last seen. Dispatchers say Holland has dementia.

Holland is described as a white female standing 5’0″ and weighing approximately 121 lbs. She was last seen wearing a nightgown, but there is no information on what color her nightgown is.

Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department and West Virginia State Police are investigating. Anyone with any information on Holland’s whereabouts should contact 911 or WVSP in Raleigh County at (304)-256-6700.
