    Check out the new logo for Bossier Parish School District

    Bossier Parish School District has a new look. On Thursday, July 18, the school district hosted an unveiling ceremony which rolled out the fresh new look Bossier Schools is embracing.

    Jason Rowland, Bossier Schools Superintendent said this new school district logo is going to represent the characteristics of the district-- bold, progressive and always moving forward.

    Rowland was sworn in as Superintendent of Bossier Schools in January 2024 and brings with him change and a new story for the district.

    Rowland has been an educator for the past 32 years. Prior to his current role he served as the Assistant Superintendent of Administration and Personnel at Bossier Schools.

    Rowland is the 15th school superintendent in Bossier Parish.

    Rowland said, "our office spent all spring trying to protect Bossier Schools with everything that the legislature has done, or that they are doing, some good, some not favorable, we tried to protect the brand. Well, now tonight is about the third phase, which is expand the brand."

    The old logo had been the districts brand for 12 years, and Rowland said, "in 2024, we said goodbye to a logo that served us well... we're going fast and we're going forward."

    Bossier Schools has also launched a new Bossier Parish Schools app. Parents can now download it and receive all the information they need on their student's-- documents, news updates and emergency notifications.
