Broome County offices open on 7/19

BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Although most Broome County offices are closed due to the world-wide technology outage, several have remained open to the public.

The following offices and buildings are open on July 19:

• All Broome County parks
• Broome County Transit
• Senior centers
• The box office at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena
• Willow Point Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
• Meals on Wheels
• District Attorney’s office
• Broome County Probation Department
• Broome County Landfill

County departments such as the DMV and DSS operate under NY state computer systems and are being closely monitored.

The closures do not have any effect on upcoming events. The Bands & Brews concert will still take place on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. The Residential Paper Shredding Event will be on Saturday at SUNY Broome from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
