TV personality thinks Bill Belichick's future could be in Buffalo

Even though some media outlets have speculated about Sean McDermott's seat being warm , there's nothing indicating that his future is in jeopardy. That didn't stop Colin Cowherd from listing Buffalo as a potential fit for a particular former head coach that has been tormenting Bills Mafia for decades.

Yep, you guessed it. Bill Belichick.

“The Belichick list from what I’ve heard are three teams: Philadelphia, Dallas and Buffalo,” Cowherd said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. “I’ve heard two things about Belichick, and I trust my sources on this.

It would be one of the biggest heel-turns in NFL history for Belichick, the former coach of the New England Patriots, six-time Super Bowl champion, 17-time AFC East champion, and tormenter of the Bills for 24 years to continue his coaching career with the new division powerhouse.

Belichick reportedly wants to coach where he's familiar

According to Cowherd, Belichick would want to stay out east.

"He’s got his place in Nantucket. He golfs down in Jupiter, Florida. Bill doesn’t have any interest in moving everybody out west. The second thing, he would like the quarterback situation to be stable. The instability post-Brady was his downfall," Cowherd said.

To be perfectly blunt, I'm sure any head coach would love the opportunity to coach a Josh Allen-led team, so this isn't surprising.

Would the Bills ever consider hiring Bill Belichick?

In a word? No. The relationship between ownership, general manager Brandon Beane, and McDermott is very strong. By all accounts, the organization is happy with the stability they have created in the front office, which is a massive key to success in today's NFL.

Moving on from McDermott for Belichick would be more than just rocking the boat – it would capsize it. The vitriol reaction from Bills Mafia would be jarring, the culture change would be stark, and the on-field adjustments would have to be massive to fit his style and scheme.

Beane is happy with McDermott , so it would be shocking to move on for Belichick, especially considering his tenure after Tom Brady left Foxborough was less than inspiring.

The Patriots moved on to bury the old "Patriot Way." Why would the Bills want to bring it back?
