Ariana Madix Faces Second Lawsuit In A Week – This Time, From An Allegedly Scorned Business Partner

Just days after her ex-boyfriend filed (and dropped ) a lawsuit against her, Ariana Madix has been named in another filing, this time from the chef and chief operating officer of her Nancy Meyers -themed sandwich shop, Something About Her. Madix’s best friend and VPR castmate Katie Maloney , who also co-owns the shop, was also named.

In the lawsuit, Chef Penny Davidi alleges Madix and Maloney “repudiated” from their business deal after she accomplished “substantial” work for the shop as their COO and director of culinary, per documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight .

The lawsuit claims Chef Davidi “performed substantial work, engaged in substantial activity, and undertook substantial tasks” for the business. Chef Davidi says she was promised 10% partnership while Madix and Maloney maintained 90% for promoting the business.

The lawsuit claims that per their business agreement, Chef Davidi would be paid $7,500 per month until January 2024, after which “the rate would increase to $10,000 per month.” But she claims Madix and Maloney “repudiated” the deal, though the court filings don’t specify how, per ET.

Davidi is asking for Madix and Maloney to uphold their end of the deal and compensate her fairly.

This lawsuit comes just days after Madix’s ex-boyfriend and VPR co-star Tom Sandoval filed a lawsuit against her for accessing his phone on March 1, 2023, and allegedly distributing videos of Leviss from his phone without his “authorization or permission.”

Sandoval accused Madix of making “copies” of the video of Leviss and sharing it with “Leviss and third parties.”

Sandoval faced swift backlash from VPR fans who quickly sided with Madix, prompting him to drop the lawsuit and his lawyer in one fell swoop.

“Late Tuesday afternoon, my attorney, Matt Geragos, whose advice I trusted, called me about the Cross-Complaint in the lawsuit against myself and Ariana,” Sandoval wrote . “He assured me that the action was customary and strictly preventative in these types of lawsuits and urged me to agree to it.”

Later on in the statement he added, “I have removed Matt Geragos from my legal team. In no way am I suing Ariana. The action against Ariana brought on my behalf is being removed.”

Madix’s attorney issued a statement in response.

“We are pleased that Mr. Sandoval has stated his intention to dismiss his cross-complaint against Ms. Madix,” they said. “This entire lawsuit against Ms. Madix is without merit, and it is only a matter of time before it is dismissed completely.”
