    Clay County courts and some offices to reopen after cyber attack

    CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Government offices in Clay County are continuing to slowly come back on line following a ransomware attack that left most closed for an extended period this month.

    According to the Clay County Emergency Management Agency , the Superior Court will now be open to the public starting this coming Monday. The court will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

    A number of cases have been continued due to the down time in order to make room on the schedule. Anyone with business before the court is asked to check their case status using MyCase.IN.gov .

    “Hearings and Pretrial Conferences Resume on Monday, July 22, 2024: Parties, Public Defenders, and Private Counsel are requested to appear unless your case has been continued,” the post reads.

    Additionally, the Circuit Court will be opening on a whats described as a “very limited” basis. Folks with business in that court are asked to call the court on July 25 to check the status of their case.

    The Clay County Treasurer’s Office will resume their operating hours on Monday, July 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
