General Hospital fans are over Jason and Carly.
On Friday's episode, Jason and Carly were on a bridge talking when she got emotional with Jason about sacrificing his life for her. Jason insisted he would have done it again and said Carly wouldn't have been put in this situation if it wasn't for him and Sonny . After joking about Carly not being a mob boss, Carly and Jason both told each other they missed each other and Jason held her hand.
While the pair was having a tender moment between each other, fans on Reddit did not find it particularly sweet. They were annoyed to see the intensely strong platonic couple flaunt their devoted relationship on the screen. One Reddit fan said: " They really are going to cram Carly and Jayson down our throats every episode from now on, aren't they?"

A second fan said: " This Carly and Jason stuff is SO BORING." Another said: " Carly and Jason’s conversation is pointless and could have been done off-screen. Trying to make Carly Jason’s person concerning Sonny is stupid and unnecessary." A fan on X formerly Twitter wrote " My God Carly is slobbering all over Jason's greatness I just can't take it."
In the beginning, when Carly was first introduced in the show in 1996, she and Jason had a purely carnal relationship where they slept together. But after that short stint as lovers, the two have been best friends ever since. Their relationship is very solid and the two have gone far and beyond for each other many times. As viewers saw with the Jason FBI storyline, where Jason allowed himself to be used by the FBI to protect Carly from being arrested.
Some people would call them platonic soulmates or just plain soulmates for those who ship them. While they have maintained a mostly platonic relationship on the show, they did consider getting together seriously during the time Sonny was presumed dead. They married each other to secure the Corinthos’ power against the Five Families. After they tied the knot, they were about to consummate the marriage before Sonny barged in, very much alive. From the moment on, that romantic possibility ended and hasn't reared its head again so far.
During the episode, Carly and Jason continued their conversation on the bridge and talked about Jason needing to explain everything to Sonny. They also said they needed to protect Sonny against Special Agent Cates who wants to destroy him. Before the episode ended, Carly said there's no one that she rather be in this situation with than Jason.
