SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — It’s going to be a hot weekend across the region with the National Weather Service issuing warnings and advisories for most of the county.

As expected, the desert areas will be feeling it the most. An Excessive Heat Warning was issued Friday morning for areas like Borrego Springs, stretching to the border of Julian and Mount Laguna. This will remain in effect until 9 p.m. Sunday, NWS noted.

For the county’s mountains and valleys, local meteorologists have issued a Heat Advisory. This includes areas like La Mesa, Poway, Escondido, Santee, El Cajon, San Marcos, Julian and Pine Valley. This advisory, according to NWS, will also be in effect until Sunday night at 9 p.m.
