BRUNSWICK, Ga. (WSAV) – Last year, the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office collected 800 donated bookbags with supplies. They’re hoping to bump that amount to 1,000.

Sheriff E. Neal Jump’s Back to School Drive began on July 5 and will continue through July 29. The GCSO Facebook page reported that they had almost collected 100 bookbags as of Friday.

The sheriff’s office is requesting bookbags, water bottles and all types of necessary school supplies like notebooks and pencils to provide for students. The Glynn County School System has 12,745 students enrolled this year, according to the GCSO’s post.

Supplies can be dropped off at the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office at 100 Sulphur Springs Road, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Monday, July 29, or ordered online through their Amazon Wishlist.

Any used items will not be accepted.
