    Price of home sales continues to rise in Pioneer Valley

    CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley has released its June housing market report.

    Home closings have decreased since last year, but they’re still selling for more money than last June. The median sale price for homes was $369,900, which is 8.8% higher than last year of $340,000.

    There were 417 homes sold in June this year, which is down 10.3% over June 2023. The inventory of available homes for sale was down 18.2% with 579 on the market versus 708 homes in May 2023.

    The average time on the market is down by 8.5% year-over-year, averaging 29 days.

    There are currently 224 houses for sale in Hampden County for under $350,000 according to Zillow .
