Crews from local, state and federal agencies responded to fight the fire, which was first discovered on Monday. As many as 75 personnel were battling the blaze at a given time.

Since there is no road access in the area, crews were initially flown to the rugged mountain scene. No damage, closures or injuries were reported in connection to the fire.
