Christina Sandera, Partner of Clint Eastwood, Dead at 61

Christina Sandera, the partner of Oscar-winning actor Clint Eastwood , has died at the age of 61. Eastwood confirmed her passing in a statement released July 18.

"Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much," the 94-year-old said following Sandera's death, according to The Hollywood Reporter . A representative for Warner Bros. confirmed that no other information would be released, and no cause of death has been stated.

Eastwood and Sandera reportedly met when she was working as a hostess at the Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California . Eastwood owns the establishment and was famously the mayor of Carmel for a two-year period in the late 1980s.

The couple first started dating in 2014. Their relationship was largely kept out of the spotlight, though she had accompanied him on the red carpet several times, including repeated trips to the Academy Awards when his movies American Sniper , Sully , The Mule , The 15:17 to Paris , and Richard Jewell were up for Oscars.

Eastwood and Sandera never tied the knot. Eastwood himself has been married twice, first to model Maggie Johnson before parting in 1964 and divorcing in 1984 and later to TV news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 until their divorce in 2014.
