Adam Lambert Celebrates ‘Afters’ EP With Queer Flea Market in L.A.

Adam Lambert is having a sultry summer, and it's about to get hotter this weekend. The Los Angeles magazine June cover subject has slowly rolled out the tracks from Afters (his bodacious, beat-driven new EP) the past several weeks and today the full release is available on streaming platforms for fans to devour.
As he told us in June, Lambert's new music is freer and more liberated than ever before, written and recorded with the queer community and steamy club environments in mind. With song titles like “Wet Dream," "Lube" and "Cvnty," the six-track release marks a bold new era for the singer, which he described to us as "a little horny.”
During the interview, Lambert also elaborated that "probably about 80% of my friends are queer and we go through the same types of experiences. I'm writing stuff for people that feels very free, that feels liberated in owning sexuality or gender identity. That's what the songs are about... not being afraid to go into that subject matter."
Following a vibrant live performance at WeHo Pride, Lambert hosted a wild bash at Heart in L.A. and hit the NYC nightlife scene for an "AFTERparty" preview with club legend Susanne Bartsch. He also appeared at Los Angeles' Pride issue bash at the 1 Hotel, posing with party-goers for photo ops, enjoying libations and the social swirl.
But Pride is more than a month, and Lambert's message of equality and shining bright in one's queerness and sexuality is at the forefront of his creative output at the moment. It might be cheeky and risque, but in light of the current political climate, it's also a form of activism, something he's been involved in since creating the Feel Something Foundation , a non-profit supporting LGBTQ+ human rights focused on mental health, education and more.
Lambert and his foundation host their first-ever charity flea market and silent auction this Sunday, July 21 from 12- 3 p.m. Partnered with the Los Angeles LGBT Center and GLAAD, the gathering will feature artists, vendors, and independent shop owners at The Village at Ed Gould Plaza at the L.A. LGBT Center selling wares to raise money for LGBTQ+ causes.
There will also be a silent auction of Lambert’s personal items including stage props, clothing, memorabilia, artwork, accessories and housewares at CULTUREEDIT, the hybrid concept store with Tom of Finland which features online and an IRL space selling and promoting queer artists and brands in the fashion, art and erotica space.
