Gold Jacket WR urges Davante Adams to consider joining New York Jets

Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Randy Moss knows what it's like to go ring chasing and has suggested that current Las Vegas Raiders ' WR1 Davante Adams give it a try.

While appearing on the Up & Adams show, Moss urged the 31-year-old Adams (no relation to show host Kay Adams) to find a team capable of winning the Super Bowl and eventually hinted that the New York Jets may be the best option.

"I really don't see why he should not chase a ring. I think he's made all of his money, he's made enough money, so I mean for him to chase a ring, I chased one," said Moss, who amassed 15,000+ career receiving yards to rank fourth all-time.

After failing to earn a trip to the Super Bowl with the Minnesota Vikings followed by two disastrous years as a Raider, Moss landed with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Unfortunately for Moss, the New York Giants blocked the offensive superstar from hoisting the Lombardi trophy.

Adams, who left the Green Bay Packers after the 2021 season, finds himself playing for an organization that is in a rebuild mode of sorts unlike the Jets, who are a viable title contender with former Adams teammate Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.

"They're in the same division with the Kansas City Chiefs, so I don't see a ring in their near future," said Moss. "If he needs to chase a ring and get out of there, I mean what would he look like back with Aaron Rodgers? what would that look like? I don't know if the salary cap can [allow the Jets] bring a guy like Davante Adams in, but I would love to see it."

Adams and Rodgers formed one of the NFL's most-respected QB-WR combinations for eight seasons in Green Bay. Helping Rodgers win back-to-back NFL MVP awards, Adams totaled 2,927 yards receiving and 29 touchdowns receptions over his last 30 regular season games as a Packer.

"Advice for him, just keep being yourself, man, and go get a ring. I wish him well and I want him to go get it," said Moss.
