It's been a while since Dustin Johnson's name was featured on the front page of a major championship leaderboard.

Missing the cut at the 2024 Masters and U.S. Open and struggling to a T43 finish at May's PGA Championship, the LIV Golf star hasn't exactly been in the greatest of form this year.

Heading into the third round of the 152nd Open Championship on Saturday, however, Johnson finds himself T13 (+1 overall) and just eight shots off the lead after firing a 2-under par 69 on Friday.

Despite being firmly in the mix at Royal Troon this weekend, Johnson doesn't seem to have plans to stick around Scotland for long regardless of his Open Championship finish.

    Why?

Apparently, the three-time major winner plans to meet his wife, Paulina Gretzky, in Saint-Tropez on Sunday.

"Any family members, any friends here for you this week?" Johnson was asked after Friday's round, according to GolfDigest .

"Well, my brother's here," the LIV Golfer replied (Johnson's brother, Austin, is his caddie).

"Yeah, I hope so. If he's not...," the reporter continued.

"No, my wife, her and a couple of friends are in Saint-Tropez. I'll meet her on Sunday," Johnson replied.

Johnson and Gretzky reportedly started dating in 2013 .

It wasn't until 2022, however, that the couple officially tied the knot and got married following a nearly 10-year-long engagement.

That same year, Johnson stunned the golf world by leaving the PGA Tour for LIV Golf.

Johnson (+1) will look to build on his strong Friday performance and make up ground on leader Shane Lowry (-7) in the third round.
