Betly celebrates 1 year of iGaming in West Virginia by giving back

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – It’s a major milestone in the world of gaming for West Virginians! Friday marks the first anniversary of iGaming in the state.

To mark the anniversary, Betly Casino and Sportsbook is celebrating with a generous donation to a local charity. They gave United Way of Central West Virginia $5,000!

“It’s important to give back because if you think about it, the folks that are out here on the app, the folks that are coming in the doors of this casino, they’re loyal to us. So, how can we be loyal back to them? And one of those ways is to support the everyday life that they have in the West Virginia community,” said Jeremy Wieczorek, senior player development manager at Gamewise.

Betly has generated more than $4 million in taxable gaming revenue for the Mountain State.
