LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) — Due to being at full capacity, the intake policy at the Greenbrier Humane Society will be temporarily changed.

According to members of the Greenbrier Humane Society, because they are at full capacity the humane society can only take in sick or injured animals as of Friday, July 19, 2024.

The change to the intake policy will ensure that attention and resources can be focused on the animals that are currently at the humane society.

We understand the importance of supporting animals in need, and our current focus is on providing the best possible care for the animals already under our roof.
