The Las Vegas Raiders have had some really great players come through that had a very high ceiling, but unfortunately, it just never worked out. That happens with every NFL team, but it feels like it happens with the Raiders too often.

One of the players that comes to mind for me is former running back Kenyan Drake, who had unlimited potential when he was drafted and played for the Detroit Lions.

When he played for the Raiders, the thought of that potential still carried over. Many people seemed to think that his being on the Raiders would be a better situation for him, even though he was behind Josh Jacobs. Obviously, things still didn't work out as maybe he would have hoped.

But, Drake seems to think that he has fulfilled enough to call it quits, and that's completely fine.

After an eight-year career, Drake is hanging up the cleats.

"It felt like the right time," Drake told Josina Anderson. "I love the game, but I don't love the business. I'm at peace with the decision. I'm healthy and ready to start the next chapter of my life."

You can't help but wish him success in whatever comes next for him. Drake also played for the Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, and the Green Bay Packers as well.
