Pringles Launches Limited-Time Chip Flavor That Fans 'Def Would Try'

A special new potato chip flavor is starting to appear on grocery and convenience store shelves in the U.S., and judging by fans’ initial reactions online, Pringles’ latest reveal already seems to be a hit.

The Bourbon BBQ potato chips will only be available for a limited time, according to the label for Pringles' new flavor. The release follows a wave of new Pringles chip flavors this year, such as Sweet Chili Sauce , Cheesy Jalapeño Popper , Texas BBQ Brisket and more .

Pringles describes its latest flavor as featuring a “crisp, crunchy, hit-the-spot taste of potato seasoned with nutty bourbon flavor and savory and sweet barbecue.” The chips are “perfectly salty and bursting with sweet and savory oak flavor,” as well as “insanely light, crispy, and never greasy.” The Bourbon BBQ chips are “perfect for bourbon lovers,” according to Pringles’ listing for the flavor on the brand's website .

Though it is unclear exactly how long the new Bourbon BBQ chips will remain available for customers to purchase, some Pringles enthusiasts have already spotted the chips at Albertsons and 7-Eleven stores, according to fan comments added to food blogger Markie Devo’s Tuesday, July 16, Instagram post about the release.

The Pringles fans who haven’t yet tested the new flavor appear eager to do so.

“Def would try !!!!!” one fan commented.

“This had me at Bourbon. No, wait! BBQ,” another fan joked.

Some customers informed Devo that they already had an opportunity to try the new chips and offered their feedback.

One person who tried the chips described the flavor as “very light,” while another who found the Bourbon BBQ cans at a 7-Eleven agreed the chips were “good.”

Despite the excitement on social media, reviewers were more divided when they shared their feedback on Pringles’ website. Two reviews were posted as of Friday, July 19, with one person rating the flavor five stars and the other giving it just one.
