Two of the Best Tactical Adventures In Years On One Cartridge. Though I can’t say I planned it this way, the fifth installment of HPP’s Getting Physical series is an extra special one. Not only does it feature two games in one, but they’re two games that are especially near and dear to my heart. First, here’s a little backstory. Way back in my middle and high school years, I loved me some Advance Wars. It was fun and engaging to play with friends for years, up until the release of the nightmare that was Days of Ruin. That game was so unbalanced it almost made me stop playing the series altogether. Which left me distraught for a while, until I heard rumors about a series in the works by Chucklefish.

Well folks, I think it’s fair to say that The Arcade Crew knows they have a winning formula in publishing deckbuilders. Cause now they’re adding another to their lineup besides the fantastic Cross Blitz. That game, developed by Club Sandwich, is called Shuffle Tactics. Though it’s slated to release on PC in 2025, there’s a public Alpha period coming on July 24th via Steam.
