    Medical examiner called to wreck on Rt. 19 in Marion County, road closed

    FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A “major vehicle accident” has shut down part of U.S. Route 19 in Marion County, 911 officials confirmed Thursday evening.

    Officials with the Marion County 911 Center told 12 News that the accident was between a motorcycle and a pickup truck that collided near the Paw Paw Fairgrounds. The incident was called in around 10:19 p.m. and officials said that the road will be closed for an extended period of time.

    Nobody from the scene has been taken to the hospital. However, the Marion County 911 Log states that the Medical Examiner has been called to the scene.

    Crews from the Rivesville Volunteer Fire Department, Baxter Volunteer Fire Department, Marion County Rescue Squad and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office all responded to this call.
