PSP: Alleged kidnapping attempt investigated in Indiana County

UPDATE: Pennsylvania State Police said they canvassed the area for approximately three hours and were not able to find anything. The investigation has been closed.

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an allegedly attempted kidnapping in Indiana County.

Troopers said that on Friday, July 19 they were called to a home on Ryan Road in White Township for a report of an attempted kidnapping. A juvenile female told officers that a white man attempted to grab her near her home.

She said the man was on foot, but Troopers did not provide any more information about the alleged kidnapper. They added they searched the area for three hours, but did not find anyone.
