Robert “Rob” Rausch, a 25-year-old from Florence, Alabama, and Kassandra “Kassy” Castillo, a 23-year-old from Fort Worth, Texas, were two of the 12 final contestants on Love Island USA Season 6 . Rob was one of the 12 original islanders who arrived in the villa on day one, while Kassy was the last female bombshell to join on day 27.

Both Rob and Kassy were also contestants on Love Island USA Season 5. Rob, who joined on day 16, was dumped on day 21. Kassy, who arrived on day one, was a part of the runner-up couple along with her ex, Leonardo Dionicio. Kassy and Leo announced their breakup in October 2023, two months after the Love Island USA Season 5 finale.

Rob and Kassy were the newest couple on Love Island USA Season 6. They coupled up on day 27 after Kassy arrived and Rob and previous partner, Daniela Ortiz-Rivera, were voted in the bottom two couples and Kassy had to choose to couple up with him or Harrison Luna , who was also in a bottom couple with his partner, Sierra Mills.

Along with Kassy and Daniela, Rob had also been coupled up with his original partner, Leah Katib, as well as bombshell Andrea Carmona, who he left Leah for on day 8 before Andrea’s dumping on day 11. Rob was also briefly coupled up with Liv Walker and Cassidy Laudano, making him the only islander on Love Island Season 6 to be coupled up with six contestants.

While Kassy and Rob haven’t confirmed their relationship after getting dumped on Love Island USA Season 6, it’s unlikely they’re still together. Rob and Kassy, however, do follow each other on Instagram, at the time of writing. Rob also follows his Love Island USA exes Leah and Andrea. Rob and Kassy coupled up on day 27 and were dumped on day 30, which meant that they were only together for three days before they werre eliminated. There are also only three Love Island USA couples still together, as of writing: Season 5 winners Hannah and Marco; Season 5 finalists Berie and Taylor; and Season 3 runners-up Kyra and Will.

Kyra and Will coupled up on day one; Hannah and Marco coupled up on day three; while Bergie and Taylor coupled up on day 21. That means that each of the Love Island USA couples who are still together had at least a couple weeks in the villa before they went back to the real world. Distance is also an issue, which was the main reason Kassy broke up with her Love Island USA Season 5 partner, Leonardo Dionicio, after filming ended. Kassy and Leo, who were the runners-up on Season 5, confirmed their split in October 2023, two months after the Love Island USA Season 5 finale.

“Kassy and I are no longer together. No bad blood between us. Just simply wasn’t working anymore and distance was a big factor,” Leo wrote. “Thank you all for the support through our journey this summer as we are both very grateful for the experience.” Kassy is from Fort Worth, Texas, while Leo is from West Hartford, Connecticut. The distance between them is around 1,700 miles. Rob, for his part, is from Florence, Alabama, which is slightly closer to Kassy at around 637 miles.

Will Rob and Andrea get back together after Love Island USA Season 6?

Kassy and Rob’s dumping on Love Island USA Season 6 also means that he and his arguably strongest connection in the villa, Andrea Carmona, are both back in the real world. (We say arguably because there are some stans who wanted Rob back with his original partner, Leah Kateb, before the Love Island USA Season 6 finale.) Andrea was dumped on day 11, a day after recoupling with Rob, due to the public’s vote and their fellow islanders’ decision.

Though Rob and Andrea are now out of the villa, it doesn’t seem likely that they’ll get back together due to Andrea’s opinions of Rob after she was dumped. In an interview with Collider in June 2024, Andrea seemingly questioned whether Rob was genuine after he walked back his decision to leave the villa for her after her dumping. “I’m not like your decision-maker,” Andrea said. “I’m not your parent. You have to make decisions for yourself, and if it’s to leave with me, amazing like rainbows and butterflies. We figure it out. If not like you want to explore, and you want to see what’s there and that’s perfectly fine. He was kind of like, ‘Oh, you know, it’s only been four days.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah I get it.'”

Rob and Kassy were eliminated along with couple Kaylor Martin and Aaron Evans , who had been coupled up since day one. Love Island USA Season 6 contestant Liv Walker told Us Weekly ahead of the finale that she believed that Aaron treated his bromance with Rob better than his relationship with Kaylor, which could be the demise of his relationship with Kaylor.

“I feel like because she loves love and she loves Aaron, she will make it work. She’ll probably fly to Europe. [When it comes to Aaron], I see actions where he loves her dearly and then I see other actions where I’m like, ‘What are you doing!’” she said. “Time will tell. If he can make the effort with Rob, he can make the effort with Kaylor.”
