One suit against local manufacturing firm dismissed

LOGAN — Two of the companies that are suing Logan Glass Technologies LLC for allegedly unpaid business debts have dropped their lawsuit.

In June Direct Energy Business, LLC and Direct Energy Business Marketing, LLC filed a complaint in Hocking County Common Pleas Court against the Logan-based manufacturer. It alleged that Logan Glass Technologies had failed to pay for supplies of natural gas it had bought from the supplier, and owed more than $660,000.

An entry filed with the court on Tuesday reported that the complaint was being dismissed without prejudice at the request of the plaintiffs.

Another company, Sisecam Chemicals Resources LLC, still has a lawsuit pending in Hocking County Common Pleas Court against Logan Glass Technologies. That suit alleges that the local firm failed to pay for close to 300 tons of soda ash, and is seeking more than $170,000 in damages, compensatory losses and lost profits.

There is also a suit against Logan Glass Technologies and its parent firm pending in Cuyahoga Common Pleas Court, in which plaintiff Savant Technologies, LLC alleges that the local company owes it more than $420,000 for various purchases.
