Laramie County Library to host early voting, registration in August

CHEYENNE – The Laramie County Library will host an early voting and registration event on Aug. 4 from 1-4:30 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room.

Community members will be able to register to vote, cast an early ballot in the 2024 primary election for the party with which they are affiliated and request an absentee ballot. Voters who register at the event can also cast a ballot that same day. However, attendees will not be able to change their party affiliation at this event, as the deadline for that has passed.

The library encourages voters planning to attend the event to verify their registration status and ensure that they arrive with all necessary identification documents. A valid Wyoming driver’s license is sufficient to both register and vote. Voters without a driver’s license can find a comprehensive list of acceptable forms of identification to register at sos.wyo.gov/Elections/State/RegisteringToVote.aspx

For questions on voter registration, contact the Laramie County Clerk’s office. For more information regarding the Early Voting Event at the library, contact Jesse Dorst, community and media relations manager, at 307-773-7224 or jdorst@lclsonline.org.
