WHAT WE'RE TRACKING :

• ALERT DAYS: Monday and Tuesday for heat
• Evening severe chances Monday and Tuesday
• Cooler for Labor Day

PLANNING THE NE X T 24 HOURS: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible overnight Saturday through the morning hours on Sunday. Storms aren't expected to be severe as temperatures dip into the upper 60s Saturday night before climbing into the mid to upper 80s, depending on how quickly we clear the clouds out, for Sunday.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : The real heat and humidity arrive by Monday, as temperatures climb into the low to mid 90s with triple digit heat index values (what it will feel like). These same conditions are expected on Tuesday; heat related alerts may be issued as the risk from heat, especially Monday, is major to extreme across southern Wisconsin. Additionally, there's a conditional threat for severe weather Monday night and Tuesday night however, temperatures may simply be too hot for too long during the day and we may miss the severe weather. After that, temperatures gradually cool back into the 80s then further into the 70s by Labor Day.
