Lighting a room properly can make it cozier and more inviting. One of the best ways to do that is with a lamp, of course. But you don’t have to get just any lamp , you can get a cute one that might be a fun conversation starter or one that you just love to look at because it’s so pretty. One of Target’s newest lamps is exactly this kind and looks like a lovely little mushroom. What makes it even better is that this lamp is similar to other viral favorites, one even being almost six times the price.

The lamp in question is Target’s Mushroom Lamp Dotted by their in-house brand, Room Essentials. It’s currently $20 and comes in three colors: Pink Crepe, Versatile Green and Cosmic Rust. All three of them have a dotted, glass-blown pattern that only adds to how cool it looks. As we said before (and as the name suggests) it has a cute mushroom shape; the lamp has a round bottom that tapers in the middle and then billows out again so that it looks like a mushroom with a flat top.

    Target

Target’s mushroom lamp is made of glass and has an “inline rocker switch” on a 5-foot cord. It doesn’t come with a bulb but it just takes a regular 40-watt light bulb you can find at Target as well. It weighs 2.2 lbs and measures 8.75 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter. That means it’s not very big, but reviewers seem to like it and its size regardless.

“My daughter is moving into her dorm next month and she and her roommate are trying to figure out their decor scheme,” one reviewer wrote. “This mushroom lamp is so cute for a desktop or nightstand. It is very little so it won’t take up much space which is good being dorms are usually small.”

Another person wrote that it’s “such a cute lamp” and lights their room just how they like it.

“Gives the nicest ambiance,” the shopper wrote. “Super cozy. Looks so cute off during the day too. Feels quality material."

And another person wrote that you “can’t get a more perfect lamp” for $20.

“I couldn’t decide between the pink and the green so I bought both and love them so much,” they gushed.

Mushroom lamps are very trendy at the moment, with tons of users on TikTok posting their faves (which all seem to be more than $20). So with that affordable price and the positive reviews, it’s even more exciting that the Target lamp looks like other styles that are much more expensive. Take Wayfair’s Ivy Bronx Diain Glass Table Lamp , which is currently $111.99.

    Wayfair

The Wayfair lamp is only a tiny bit taller—it’s 9 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter—but it has the same design and a similar color (it’s a pink and red-striped glass design). It is also made of glass and fits in with the same style as Target’s. This one does come with a lightbulb, though, which is nice.

So if you’re looking for an adorable lamp for your nightstand or college dorm, or you want a tiny decorative piece that also serves a purpose, Target’s Mushroom Lamp Dotted by Room Essentials is definitely worth checking out.
