Birthdays are the best when you can share them with good friends. One Golden Retriever named Kobe was lucky enough to enjoy her 3rd birthday with her very best friends, Koa the Border Collie and Gigi the red Golden Retriever.

On July 15, 2024, Kobe the Golden Retriever ( @kobe_bang ) shared the cutest TikTok video showing Kobe's adorable birthday party with her favorite gals. Check it out!

In the video captioned, "The Very Happy Birthday Party with the best 3 Amigas!," Kobe's special day begins with her own little "birthday cake," as she dons her best pink birthday outfit. Next up, the happy Golden and her two BFFs have the ultimate girls day by playing outside in the pool, chasing one another, hopping around, and really just enjoying life.

"They had a blast!" the clip says, and their pure joy is clear! Kobe, Koa, and Gigi are made for each other.

Kobe's Mom noted in the comments the party guests "the entire spectrum of golden retriever colors!!!" as Koa practiced herding Gigi, while the birthday girl kept trying to "be the center of attention!"

This party looks like so much fun and we're here for it!

    Why Dog Socialization Is Important

Kobe's pool party was a major hit, but this is in-part because she's been socialized and seems to love playing with other dogs. Longwood Vet Center emphasizes socialization is critical for raising a well-adjusted dog . Puppies have a short window for this to happen, typically between 3-16 weeks of age, so it's important to expose them to as many things and people as possible during this time frame.

Dogs that are properly socialized get more exercise and have more fun, they're easier to groom, they handle vet exams better, have less fear and anxiety, and are less prone to aggressive behavior.

To help your pup be less afraid of the world around them, something as simple as taking them for walks can be a great starting point so they're immersed in different sights, sounds, and scents.

The same goes for taking them on short trips to meet with friends or family to ease them into being around new people or plan a puppy socialization party . Just be careful not to overwhelm them with too much at once, which can backfire and cause more stress, so take it slow.

Kobe and her girls are the perfect example of why socialization matters. Look how much fun they had! Happy birthday, Kobe!
