UPDATE: Arrest made in East Louisiana St. murder

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An arrest has been made in connection to the murder of Joshua Seymour.

On July 17, officers were called to the 300 block of Louisiana Street in reference to a shots fired call. When they arrived to the scene, they found Seymour’s body in the home. The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s office later confirmed the cause of death was a shotgun wound to the chest.

Authorities say the investigation led detectives to obtain a warrant for Martin Miniard where they say multiple agencies worked together and took Miniard into custody just after midnight on July 20.

At this time, police have not said what may have happened that led to the shooting or what evidence they have that links Miniard to Seymour’s death.

Miniard is being held at the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center on a murder charge.
