WWE SmackDown Fallout (07/19/24): Andrade offers compliment, advice to struggling Carmelo Hayes

At some point in the very near future, the WWE has to figure out the path for Carmelo Hayes, and preferably sooner than later. The rookie first-overall pick has been up and down since being drafted to SmackDown, with more downs than ups, and his latest round of fallen mercury saw him chilled even more at the hands of Andrade.

The two put on a banger to open this week’s episode of the Blue Brand and, as it turned out, their fight was the match of the night, and no other came close to it.

It was Andrade taking home the win though, but he didn’t leave the building without giving Hayes some roses for what he showed in the ring.

“I feel great,” said Andrade. “I am here to win, Carmelo, congrats, because he’s good. I wanna say that. He’s a good talent. He has a good vision.”

The legendary luchador went on to offer some advice for the arrogant youngster, and for anyone else who would step up to oppose the WWE Speed champion, on any brand.

“But he’s still young,” said Andrade of Hayes. “He needs a little more. I understand him because I was young like him, but tonight was my night. I’m back here to win.

“I don’t care who is in my face.”

Andrade is on quite the heater lately, while Hayes is speeding in the opposite direction and truly needs to find a feud that sticks and, most importantly, he needs to string some wins together.
