Meet Shane Lowry's wife Wendy - supporting the Irish golfer's quest for another Open Championship title

Shane Lowry is eyeing his second Claret Jug this weekend, following a stellar start at The Open on Thursday, despite a very tense exchange with a cameraman .

The Co Offaly native was just one shot behind leader Daniel Brown after a bogey-free five-under-par round of 66. His wife Wendy will be cheering him on at Royal Troon over the coming days.

The happy couple have been together since 2012 and tied the knot in 2016 at New York's City Hall. They are parents to seven year-old Iris and two year old Ivy.

In 2015, they purchased a Victorian-style home in South Dublin .

These days, Shane spends much more time in the US after years of commuting back and forth to Ireland. In 2017, the family moved into a rented property in Palm Beach.

This move turned out to be a game-changer as Shane clinched the Claret Jug in 2019. Following his victory, the family bought a house in the upscale area of Jupiter, Florida .

The pair often post pictures of each other on their social media accounts, with Wendy recently sharing a snap of them enjoying a bottle of wine after Lowry's triumph at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last month, where he played alongside Rory McIlroy .
