If you ever wondered what the Critter Critter game Koe Wetzel references in his infamous song "February 28, 2016," he's finally explaining it. Many Koe Wetzel fans, I am sure, were humming the chorus of the hit single, detailing the night Wetzel got arrested in Stephenville, Texas for public intoxication:
    "Singin' la-la-la-la, let's pull over
I can't hold it, will you turn the music up?
    And let's play critter critter
Who is sober enough to take me to Taco Bell?" While we know that is the meaning of his hit single, "February 28, 2016," one line in the chorus that I've always wanted further explanation on is the game "critter critter" he references. Tracy Lawrence sat down with Wetzel on the most recent episode of TL's Road House , and Lawrence asked him to detail the game. https://www.instagram.com/p/C9f5jK0Iz4y/?img_index=1 "So tell me about the critter critter game, what is that?"
Lawrence asked the East Texas native. Koe is quick to jump into the answer, and after hearing this, I am convinced every aspect of Koe's life would have made for great reality TV. "So critter critter, you get you and your buddies, you get some girls in the car, and you drive around. You see a raccoon or whatever it was cross the road, and whoever hit the car (ceiling) last... You know, if it was a boy, then..." Lawrence then interjects to clarify that when Koe says he hit the car, he means to pop the ceiling of the cab everyone is sitting in. "And if it was a girl that hit it first, boys had to take off a piece of clothes. And if a boy did it, vice versa." It sounds like a game of strip Where's Waldo, but Waldo is what is lurking in the woods.
"We'd be seeing sh*t that wouldn't even cross the road. You know, we'd be hitting it. No man, it was a great game, we had a lot of fun." While it seems as though Koe has retired from this game, I am sure some kids out there just learned about their new Saturday night game. So, if you're ever in the car with Koe Wetzel and he slaps the roof, get ready because you're probably in for a wild night. Never a dull moment when you're Koe Wetzel. https://www.instagram.com/p/C9h0f_iR9nB/ While you're here, check out the full episode of TL's Road House . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqYK-i3T0r4
