Police are urgently searching for a man who absconded from a hospital in south-west London.

Officers have warned the public not to approach Adil Maxamed, 20, who ran away from Springfield Hospital at around 10.10pm on Friday.

The Metropolitan Police said three men absconded from the hospital in Glenburnie Road in Tooting after breaking a glass door.

Police located 31-year-old Ramon Martin, who injured his arm while breaking the door, on Saturday afternoon.

Police also detained an unnamed man at around 12.45am on Saturday at a home in south London and returned him to the hospital.

Mr Maxamed and Mr Martin were patients at the hospital under the Mental Health Act.
