Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a move for Real Madrid's Andriy Lunin, with Kepa Arrizabalaga potentially heading in the opposite direction as part of a swap deal.

The report comes despite Kepa recently attracting interest from Al Ittihad. Yet, it appears that Real Madrid haven't been approached by Chelsea for Lunin's services. Kepa, who spent time on loan at Madrid last season, seems content to wait for an opportunity with the Spanish giants, especially if Lunin departs.

Kepa joined Ancelotti's squad last summer after Courtois' injury and initially took over as the first-choice keeper. However, his errors led to Lunin taking over between the sticks.

Lunin, 25, cemented his place as the main man in goal during much of the campaign, notably becoming a hero in Madrid's Champions League quarter-final win against Manchester City, where he saved crucial penalties from Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic. Courtois returned for the Champions League final, where Madrid triumphed over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

Kepa hinted at a farewell, sharing photos from the season with the caption: "THANK YOU for all the support during the year Madridstas...No better way to end the season."

It was reported that Chelsea had rejected an initial bid from Al Ittihad for their goalkeeper, but negotiations were believed to be moving forward. The ex-Athletic Club player is tied to Chelsea until 2025.

Chelsea currently boasts a selection of goalkeepers including Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic, Gabriel Slonina, Marcus Bettinelli, and Lucas Bergstrom. It's likely that several will depart on loan or permanent transfers, with Kepa anticipated to be among them.

Liverpool.com says: Chelsea's goalkeeping situation has been an issue for a number of years and it appears there will be more uncertainty moving towards the start of the season. Lunin has shown his capabilities at Real Madrid but it remains to be seen if he is ready to become a Premier League No.1.
