Small Maltese Siblings Working Together to Open the Bedroom Door Are an Absolute Hoot

Two Maltese siblings work together to try and open the bedroom door, and they're adorably bad at it.

On June 13, 2024, TikTok user Bruce Wang Maltese (@bruce_wang_maltese) shared a video of two Maltese dogs doing their best to work together and open the door. And, well, they tried. Take a look!

In a quick 20-second video , we meet two cute, small Maltese siblings named Bruce and Clark.

"Watch how they work together to open the door," the text on the video reads. And there we see two little pups, Clark and Bruce who are each wearing a cute sweater.

It looks like they're inside the bedroom with their parent, who is behind the camera, and they're actively trying to leave.

But it's not exactly going smoothly.

Clark tries first, swiping his front paw in the tiny open space between the door and the door frame. When that didn't really work, he tried to squeeze his tiny face in that space to see if that would work.

Behind him is Bruce, who is very curious and watches what Bruce is doing very closely but seems very content with letting him do the hard work.

Clark then walks up closer and tries to match what Bruce is doing, which, honestly, was just sitting there. And the two of them tried that tactic for a second, too.

To their surprise, that didn't open the door, so Clark took a swipe with his paw. That didn't work either, but to their credit, they've not given up yet.

Bruce tries with his face again, and this time, he must have pushed just hard enough because his head gets through, and then he's able to leave. Bruce takes another tap at the door with his paw before he walks through and exits as well.

"Bruce letting Clark do 99% of the work," the video's caption reads. And the comments were a hoot, too.

One person wrote, "Teamwork makes the dream work. Escape buddies!"

Another shared, "where there is a will there is a way."

Someone else added, "team work so cute."

    And another, "Superheroes."

Maltese Are Known For Being Playful

According to the American Kennel Club , three words that best describe Maltese, a tiny dog that tends to weigh under 7 pounds while being 7 to 9 inches high, would be "playful, charming, and gentle."

The club notes that this breed is very "lovey-dovey" but not with everyone. If you have children or other pets, Maltese are best for houses that have older kids since they're small and can be mishandled by curious kiddos.

They may be small but they're also protective. "Despite their aristocratic bearing, Maltese are hardy and adaptable pets. They make alert watchdogs who are fearless in a charming toy-dog way, and they are game little athletes on the agility course," the American Kennel Club shares.
