NOBLE COUNTY, OHIO (WTRF) — A Tier II Ohio Sex Offender is once again behind bars after Noble County officials say less than a month after he was released from prison, he allegedly immediately began a sexual relationship with a juvenile.

According to the Noble County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher White, 27, of Noble County was released from prison on June 25, 2024, but “didn’t waste too much time getting back into lockup.”

Detectives say they learned that White allegedly exchanged nude images with a juvenile and sent messages confirming his intentions were sexual.

On July 17, officials say White arranged to meet with the juvenile in Caldwell, Ohio, where he intended to engage in sexual activities but was met by Sheriff Jason Mackie and Detectives a

The team swiftly apprehended White when he arrived in the area.

“During an interview, White acknowledged that he intended to have sex with the juvenile, but claimed it was not typical of him to pursue juveniles. White’s previous convictions of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor tell a different story.” Sheriff Mackie said.

Officials say White also disclosed that he failed to report his place of employment to the Sheriff’s Office, which is a requirement for the sex offender registry.

Christopher White was arrested and transported to the Noble County Jail, where he was held without bond.

On July 18, 2024, Detectives presented charges to the Noble County Grand Jury against Christopher White for disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a fifth-degree felony, possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, importuning, a fourth-degree felony, and notice of residence address change, a third-degree felony.

Officials say White was indicted on all counts and remains incarcerated at the Noble County Jail.
