One of the most luxurious things you can have in any bathroom is a tub with jets that stimulate a sense of relaxation and give a spa-like therapeutic treatment. Nothing quite hits the spot more after a long day!

However, jetted tubs might be quite the luxury, but once you know whats hiding in the jet lines, you may think twice about hopping in for a good soak. Check out this video to find out what's really hiding in those pipes!

Yikes! This one is hard to watch and might have you racing to the tub to give the lines a good flush. Of course, not all tubs lines will be this unsightly. But chances are, if you haven't ever flushed yours out, you might be in for a rude awakening. The good news is, flushing out your jets isn't all that hard!

How to Flush Out Your Jet Tub

Flushing your jets really isn’t that hard and to keep them super clean and grim free we recommended that you flush them every month for ultimate performance.

Jennifer Parnell, co-founder of Humble Suds explained the process on MarthaStewart.com . She breaks the process down into 3 easy steps:

    1. Fill the tub with cold water a few inches above the jets. She then advises running the jets for 10 minutes without any soap. Then, turn the jets off and drain the water.

    2. Fill the tub with hot water a few inches above the jets. Depending on the tub size, add 2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup of mild dish detergent. Once the detergent dissolves, add 2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Close the valves and run the jets for 15 minutes.

    3. Give the tub a good scrub-down, soak and drain it, and then wipe it dry.

By following these simple steps, you'll be able to enjoy hot, comforting, and perfectly clean baths whenever the mood strikes you.
