Shane Lowry lashes out at media member in second heated moment in as many days

Shane Lowry was overheard swearing at what seemed to be a broadcast media person after his shot connected with them during a vexing third round at The Open, in the second such incident at the golf this weekend .

Suffering in heavy rain at Royal Troon, the lad from Offaly watched his lead dwindle on Saturday, dropping five shots from the eighth to the 14th, and the poor performance was clearly making him angry .

During Friday's play at the 11th hole, dubbed The Railway, Lowry had already been caught directing a profanity-laced tirade at one of the camera operators, and today he let loose another expletive when his ball struck an individual presumed to be part of the broadcast team, who was exiting the fairway.

Lowry could be heard exclaiming: "In the future, don't stand in the middle of the ******* fairway when we're trying to hit, okay?"

On that very hole, he ended up with a three-putt from off the green, leaving him two shots behind fellow golfer Daniel Brown.
