I’ve always been a strip lash girl. Call me low maintenance, but investing in high-maintenance beauty routines is just not my style. I prefer to keep my money and time for other pursuits. However, the struggle with strip lashes has been real. From struggling to apply them perfectly to carrying lash glue everywhere, it’s been exhausting.

There’s nothing worse than feeling confident all day only to come home and realize a corner of your lash has been lifting and no one told you. Fed up with the hassle, I decided to try Lashify’s at-home lash extension system. After all, it seemed like a better option than spending over $200 for professional lash extensions and hours on someone’s bench.

    What is Lashify?

Lashify is an at-home lash extension system designed to give you salon-quality lashes. It includes a range of products like lash extensions, adhesives, and application tools. Lashify has garnered attention for its natural look, customizable styles, and the convenience of applying lashes at home.

    My Experience with Lashify

I purchased the Control Kit for $125, which I think is a great deal. It includes a wand, four lash trays, two types of adhesive, removal liquid, waterproof sealant, and a storage holder for the lashes.

Upon opening the box, I was overwhelmed by the number of pieces. I expected it, but seeing it all together was a shock. There were no instructions included, just a card with a QR code leading to Lashify’s tutorial page. The tutorial featured Lashify expert Jill and was long, which was torture for someone who barely reads instructions as it is.

Despite my reluctance, I watched the video. After getting through the introduction and practicing with the tools, Jill finally guided me through the application. Surprisingly, it wasn’t difficult at all. The video (which was forced on me without my consent, might I add) was incredibly helpful, showing me how to apply my lashes seamlessly.

After finishing the basic beginner application, the outcome was pretty, but I wanted more. Naturally, I looked into level 2 application, which involves stacking. This time, I found a tutorial on Lashify’s YouTube channel so I could skip, reverse, and pause as needed.

Stacking seemed easy, but Lashify experts recommend mastering level one before moving on. My toxic trait is believing I can do anything I see, so I believed that rule didn’t apply to me. I chose to do a volume stack, adding another thin layer of lash clusters on top of the first. The result was fantastic!

    Final Thoughts

Overall, I’d recommend Lashify to women like me who are tired of strip lashes but don’t want professional extensions. However, if you’re used to a lash tech and love the look, stick with that. Cluster lashes can be a handful and don’t last as long. Mine lasted just over a week, which was fine by me. Removal was easy, and I have plenty of leftover lashes for another full set when I’m ready.
