This offseason, the college football world expanded considerably with more than four teams moving to different conferences.

Among the teams that find themselves on the move are the Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma Sooners, UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, Washington Huskies, Oregon Ducks, Colorado Buffaloes, Arizona Wildcats, California Golden Bears, Stanford Cardinal, Arizona State Sun Devils, Utah Utes, and SMU Mustangs.

David Pollack talked about a few more teams that he could see in a different conference soon. On OutKick , Pollack said he could eventually picture the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Big Ten.

He even called North Carolina the "perfect team" to join the Big Ten.

"...When you expand and go to a new market, you want to get a new market, you wanna get new television, that makes the market more valuable. So, here's another team," Pollack said.

"I'll throw a couple of other teams at you, too. North Carolina has value; that's a perfect Big Ten team. North Carolina, I could see in the Big Ten. North Carolina and Virginia, those two teams to me end up in the Big Ten."

Pollack also mentioned the Virginia Cavaliers as a team he could see joining the conference.

It would not be too wild to see teams like North Carolina and Virginia in the Big Ten, even though they are both on the East Coast. The Maryland Terrapins left the ACC in 2014 to join the Big Ten, and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights also joined that year.

North Carolina is coming off an 8-5 season under Mack Brown in 2023. The team will transition at quarterback after losing star quarterback Drake Maye to the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Tar Heels went to the SEC to find a replacement for Maye, bringing on Texas A&M Aggies transfer Max Johnson and Arkansas Razorbacks transfer Jacolby Criswell.

Other key transfer additions include former Ole Miss Rebels defensive lineman Joshua Harris, former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets offensive tackle Jakiah Leftwich, and former Muhlenberg College offensive lineman Zach Greenberg.

The Cavaliers await their first bowl game appearance under head coach Tony Elliott. Virginia finished last season at 3-9. Elliott added players like former Dartmouth offensive tackle Ethan Sipe, former Eastern Michigan Eagles corner Kempton Shine, and former Clemson Tigers tight end Sage Ennis from the portal this offseason.

With how conference realignment has been over the last couple of years, a move to the Big Ten for North Carolina or Virginia would not be surprising.
