SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – A woman was arrested after she allegedly hit multiple cars and a person with her vehicle Thursday night in Spartanburg.

The Spartanburg Police Department charged 41-year-old Keritha Tucker with attempted murder, two counts of malicious injury to personal property and driving under the influence.

An investigation was initiated on July 18 when officers responded before 10:30 p.m. to the 500 block of Wofford Street in reference to a disturbance with weapons. Upon arrival, police saw many individuals yelling at Tucker who was sitting in a silver Jeep Wrangler.

Numerous witnesses told officers that Tucker was arguing with a man when she began to chase the individual through the apartment complex with her Jeep.

According to the incident report, during the chase, Tucker hit a parked car, drove on the apartment’s lawn and hit a moped. The victim attempted to flee into one of the apartment buildings but collided with Tucker’s car after she hit the building’s staircase.

Tucker then collided with the Duke Energy power box and hit two additional parked cars according to officers. It was reported that one of the cars hit was parked in a handicap zone and three people were inside during the collision.

Police said Tucker reported that she was attempting to flee from the man because he had busted her window and she was unaware that she hit anyone else’s property. Officers were told that the man was taken to the medical center for treatment.

Once police made contact with the victim, the man reported that earlier that day he was involved in a fight with an individual dating Tucker’s daughter at the same location. The victim stated that Tucker arrived later that day yelling obscene comments at him and causing a disturbance.

Officers stated in the incident report that the individual was wearing a neck brace in the medical center and could not sit up. Police also saw that the victim had injuries to his pinky finger, knees, elbow, ankles and chest.

Officers said the man did admit to busting Tucker’s window but stated the vandalism occurred while Tucker was chasing him with her vehicle. Police did not share if the individual will face charges for his actions.

Police also noted that a video posted on Facebook displays Tucker and the individual yelling back and forth with one another when an unknown object is thrown and the chase ensues.

Tucker was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.

The incident remains under investigation by the Spartanburg Police Department.
