CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Do you love the look of South Carolina Highway Patrol’s cruisers? Your vote could help them win a nationwide calendar contest.

SC Highway Patrol is featuring its 2024 Ford Mustang and 2023 Ford F-150 in an annual contest to find America’s best-looking cruiser.

“We compete against all the other state agencies across the nation in an effort to make it to the calendar,” said Trooper Nick Pye. “The top 13 vehicles make it to the calendar. That calendar will go on sale and help the dependents of state troopers through educational scholarships.”

The agency has participated in the calendar contest every year. Their highest placement was 14’s in 2023.

Trooper Pye said this year’s photo was taken in Charleston and includes the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge as a backdrop for the Ford Mustang and F-150.

The 13 states that receive the most votes between July 15 and 29 will be featured on the calendar, and the top winner will be placed on the cover. The contest is held by the American Association of State Troopers.
