    Maxwell Jacob Friedman aka MJF.

MJF and Will Ospreay put on an absolute classic for the 250th episode of "AEW Dynamite" on Wednesday.

Both wrestlers gave their all in what became a 60-minute slobber-knocker. MJF ultimately won the bout in the dying seconds after utilizing his Dynamite Diamond Ring to knock Ospreay out cold. As such, MJF is the new AEW international champion.

During a recent episode of "Busted Open After Dark," former WWE star Bubba Ray Dudley heaped praise on MJF's showing and his crowd work throughout the match.

“Max finds new ways to impress me every single time I see him go out there," Bubba Ray said. “...He might be a little pompous, he might have a little bit of a chip on his shoulder, he might have a little bit of a big head early on in his career, but every wrestler goes through it ... He’s really, really good at what he does, and he’s very underrated when it comes to his in-ring ability. We have now watched MJF go 60 minutes with Danielson and Ospreay.”

Bubba Ray is usually critical of AEW programming, including how the talent is utilized. However, it would appear that MJF is winning over some of AEW's sternest critics. Of course, that's what Tony Khan would have been hoping for. MJF is the hottest heel in professional wrestling right now. Ospreay is among the biggest baby faces within the industry.

After months of struggle, AEW appears to be waking out of its slumber and getting itself back on track. The company has dealt with declining ratings and ticket sales throughout the year. However, a bigger focus on storylines and matches that make sense has begun to win over some members of the disillusioned fanbase.

MJF re-signed with AEW on a multi-year deal earlier this year. Now that he has returned from injury, he has been a major part of the company's resurgence. Matches like the one against Ospreay will draw in new fans.

MJF is a budding star. It's only right that he's earning praise from some of the biggest names in wrestling history.
