(WGHP) — Some much-needed moderate to heavy rainfall continues to fall in portions of the Triad this evening. Isolated flooding and damaging wind will be possible with any storms that form. Watch out for standing water on the roadways and remember to never drive through flooded roads.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms remain possible through the late evening hours with temperatures in the 70s.

Mostly cloudy skies overnight with a low chance for a stray shower or two, however most remain dry overnight. We’ll wake up in the upper 60s Sunday morning with mostly cloudy skies. Rain chances will gradually increase into the afternoon with another chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon. Not everyone will see rain but the chance for rain is 60%.

A stalled front continues to linger over the southeastern United States which means we’re looking at several more days of scattered shower and thunderstorm chances as we approach the work week. The chance for rain remains between 50% to 70% everyday through Friday. It won’t rain that entire time, but we’ll watch for scattered showers and thunderstorms each day.

Not only are we expecting a copy-and-paste forecast for rain chances this week, but our temperatures will also remain nearly the same every day. Morning temperatures will be in the low 70s with afternoon high temperatures between the low to mid 80s.

The mostly cloudy skies and rain chances throughout the week will keep our temperatures on the “cooler” side because they’ll be below normal for this time of year.

Expect upper 60s Sunday morning with highs in the mid-80s and a 60% chance for rain/storms.

Low 70s Monday morning with highs in the mid-80s and a 60% chance for rain/storms.

Tuesday brings low 70s in the morning and highs in the mid-80s. The chance for rain/storms is 70%.

Wednesday morning starts in the low 70s with highs in the mid 80s. The chance for rain is 50%.

Thursday morning, again, starts in the low 70s with highs in the low 80s. The chance for rain/storms is 50%.

Scattered rain/storms again Friday with morning temperatures in the low 70s and highs in the low to mid 80s.

Partly cloudy skies on Saturday with a 30% chance for isolated showers/storms. Temperatures will be in the low 70s in the morning with highs in the mid-80s.
